Hello! I am very excited to be your First Grade Teacher this year.
In Our Classroom:
We will LEARN and GROW TOGETHER Each and Everyday!
At the beginning of the year, we are just planting the seeds for our learning.
Our seeds are buried deep into the soil and lay on top of our previous knowledge.
Each day, we will water our seeds because in 1H we learn by doing.
The bright sunshine overhead will represent that learning is fun!
And by the end of the year, we will have grown into tall trees with many branches of leaves filled with knowledge . . .
Fast Facts about Mrs. Hughes:

#2 -- My husband and I welcomed our baby boy, Tanner, on June 15th.
#3 -- I teach in the SAME First Grade Classroom that I attended when I was a child.
#4 -- I love to be outdoors, (hints the theme of our classroom...Camping!)
#5 -- I attended Mizzou as an undergraduate. Go Tigers!
#6 -- I have a big sweet tooth -- Starbursts are my favorite!
